Marble Stone Tiled Floor Restoration in Whitefield, Bury, M45

Marble Floor Tiles Restoring Manchester

This time we got enquired about a Marble floor cleaning and polishing. When we went to see the marble stone floorin Whitefield , Bury.Bordering Prestwich , Whitefield was historically known for its bleach works and weaving industry and has benefited from the introduction of the Metrolink.house was full of builders walking over the Marble Tiled Floor. The homeowner explained, floor had never looked perfect and when the builders came, it got even worse. After the tester was completed we got booked in to Clean, Polish and Seal the Marble Floor.

Marble Floor Cleaning and Polishing

For cleaning the marble tiles we used buffing machine fitted with Diamond burnishing pads, starting from 400 grit and working all the way up to 3000 grit. We started off with 400 grit, with some water as a lubricant. The first 400 grit removes the old sealer and acid damage stains off the floor. When the whole stone floor was burnished, then all the soiled water got removed with wet vacuum. Next, we moved on to the Medium 800 grit pad which is less coarse than the 400 grit, but rough enough still to break down layers of ingrained dirt. This got followed up with the application of a Fine 1500 grit pad, which started to smooth down the rough areas of the surface to prepare the marble floor for a final polish with an even finer burnishing pad later on. After the last pad, stone floor got rinsed once more, few cracks in the marble tiles got filled in and then the floor was left to dry till the next day.

Marble Floor Sealing

When we returned on the next day to finish off the marble floor restoration, we used a damp tester to make sure there was no damp left in stone tiles. Marble floor has to be completely dry in order to seal.

When it was completely sure floor was dry we used the Very Fine 3000 grit burnishing pad – the last of the four – without any lubricant to finally achieve a high quality polished finish. Final polish was followed up by sealingthe floor with 2 coats of high quality solvent based impregnating sealer. Sealer had to dwell in for about 15 - 20 minutes and then all the residue got wiped off from the stone tiles with soft cotton cloths.
We returned the next day to apply the high shine finish on marble tiles. It is a second sealer we applied on the floor, first one penetrates in the tiles and second one buffed on top to protect from outside. The high shine sealer comes as a powder and got buffed on the floor with water and soft white pad fitted on the rotary machine followed by removing the powdered water with wet vacuum. We gave another rinse to the marble floor with water and the floor was finished.

Tony and Henri explained my floor was dull due to using wrong cleaning products. Whole work took 3 days to completed and I'm more then happy with the result and their professional attitude with facing inconveniences caused by us. Outdoor porcelain tile patios add elegance and functionality to any home, creating the perfect space for entertaining, relaxing, and enjoying the beauty of nature. However, patios are continually exposed to weather, foot traffic, and daily wear and tear. This leads to a gradual buildup of grime, algae, and mud that can make the surface dull, slippery, and unsafe. Recently, Quality Tile Care took on a project in the lovely town of Alderley Edge, Cheshire, where we transformed a porcelain tiled patio back to its original glory with our thorough, professional deep cleaning service. The Initial State: A Patio in Need of Serious Cleaning The Alderley Edge patio had not been deep cleaned for quite some time, and the impact was evident. Mud, algae, and dirt were layered across the tiles, turning them dangerously slippery. With the goal of restoring the patio’s look and ensuring its safety, the homeowner reached out to us. At Quality Tile Care, we offer top-tier tile and grout cleaning services for both residential and commercial spaces across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Derbyshire, and Liverpool, including locations like Altrincham, Stockport, Wilmslow, Knutsford, and beyond.
SHOWER BATH TILE, SILICONE SEALANT AND GROUT RESTORATION. COVERING MANCHESTER; Liverpool, Lancashire
by Quality Tile Care 26 September 2024
At Quality Tile Care , we recently took on a shower bath restoration project that turned out to be a perfect example of how professional tile and stone cleaning can breathe new life into your bathroom without the need for costly replacements. If you’ve been living with discoloured grout lines, dirty tiles, or mouldy silicone, there’s a more affordable and effective solution. Read on to see how we restored this shower bath to its former glory! The Problem: Dirty Grout and Mouldy Sealant In this project, the shower bath area had been suffering from the common issues faced by many homeowners: Dirty and discoloured grout lines that detract from the overall appearance of the bathroom. Mouldy silicone sealant around the bath and in the corners of the shower area, which is not only unsightly but can also lead to bigger issues like water damage if left untreated. These are typical signs of wear and tear in bathrooms, especially in areas exposed to high levels of moisture. While it might be tempting to consider a full replacement, we know that expert cleaning and restoration can be just as effective—and much more cost-efficient.
