Tilers who tiled this Porcelain bathroom in Hulme , Manchesterdid a horrible job with cleaning up the grout haze around the bathroom wall tiles. They even told the customer it will wash off over time and is easy to wipe off from these porcelain tiles. The truth is that grout haze can be a nightmare to get off if flexible grout has been used and tiles have texture. On this case it had both, so customer had to call us out.
For cleaning the grout hazewe used our gel formula acid based grout clean up cleaner which was applied generously on the wall tiles and left to dwell in for about 5-10 minutes. This was followed by scrubbing with a stiff brush and in some places we even had to use scraper and a stiff wire brush. After scrubbing the area was carefully rinsed with water and left to dry.
The problem with cleaning up the grout haze is when it gets wet it's very hard to see it and when it dries up then you normally have to go over the treated area again with same methods.
It was a time consuming job to go over the bathroom walls from top to bottom but definitely worth it!
Customer was very happy with the work, as she told us only now she feels like having a brand new bathroom.
She also left us a feedback: Perfect job done with grout haze cleaning in my bathroom. Thank you again!
