Most problems with wet rooms and bathrooms start from our frequent showering. Study made by BBC showed an average household showers 2.6 times a day which makes around 950 showers a year.
It's not the actual shower water making the damage always, problems start from poor or blocked ventilation systems and finish with the bodycare products we use in shower. If you find mould in your bathroom then first thing to look at would be the ventilation system. These things hardly get checked and cleaned, so it can get blocked easily.

If you have Natural Stone
Tiled Shower Room you have to be extra careful with sealing and cleaning frequently. We would recommend sealing at least once a year. Most Natural Stone Tiles like Marble
, Travertineand Limestoneare acid sensitive and can be damaged heavily by acid based shampoos and soaps if stone sealer has worn off. Also it's extremely important to use cleaning products only meant for natural stone! With most supermarket products you will be slowly washing off the stone sealer.
Always remember all problems are preventable with right maintenance.
